5454 Aluminum Alloy Plate

5454 aluminum alloy is an alloy in the wrought aluminum-magnesium series (5000 or 5xxx series). It is closely related to 5154 aluminum alloy. As an aluminum-magnesium alloy, it combines medium-to-high strength with excellent weldability. Like 5154, 5454 aluminum is often used in welded structures such as pressure vessels and ships. As a wrought alloy, it can be formed by rolling, extrusion, and forging (although forging is uncommon), but not cast. It can be cold worked to produce a temper with higher strength but lower ductility. It is not usually clad. 5454 aluminum is a typical Al-Mg alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and weldability. Examples include 5454 O aluminum plate, as well as H111, H32, H34 tempers 5454 aluminum plate also combines medium-to-high strength. Its strength is sometimes higher than that of 5052 alloy. Cold working
It is well known that 5454 aluminum also belongs to the 5 series of non-heat-treatable alloys. Therefore, it can improve strength and obtain good properties by using conventional cold working methods. In addition, 5454 aluminum coil can be cold worked in any of the H32, H34, H111 states or in the annealed state.
