Sucker rod is an important part of a sucker rod pumping equipment. Sucker Rod connect with coupling to be a rod string, and up through polished rod connection on the pumping unit or PCP motor, down connection on the pump piston or PCP, its role is to ground the reciprocating movement of the pumping unit horsehead suspension point is passed to the downhole pump or pass the rotation of the PCP motor torque to downhole PCP.
All sizes of sucker rod (standard, heavy, Polish rod) which conform to API specification latest version 11B are available in grade K, C, D and HL.

Grade C sucker rod: It features moderate strength and good toughness and can be used in sour media environment, it is not susceptible to the sulfide stress cracking.
Grade D sucker rod: It is made of quality alloy steel and heat treated, it features high tensile and yield strength, good toughness, it is applicable to non-corrosion or light corrosion environment.
Grade K sucker rod: It features good resistance to corrosion, H2S, CO2 and NaCl media, and superior tensile strength. It is newly developed product and applicable to deep well pumping by small pump, forced production by large pump and production of thickened oil.
Grade H sucker rod: It is the high strength sucker rod. The structure and the size of Grade H sucker rod are same as those of Grade D sucker rod, but the strength reaches 966-1, 136Mpa(140, 000-164, 720psi) and it is applicable to deep wells and large displacement wells.
It is a sucker rod designed specially for the PCP pump, and the taper thread is designed according to the drill pipe thread, which is applied to a high anti-twist thread on the rod thread.
Its characteristics are:1.It can withstand greater torque.2.Because the pitch is large and the tooth is wide,fastening and unfastening is fast.3.Prevent thread loosening.
Grade HY SucGrade HY Sucker Rod is a high strength sucker rod, and is mainly used in deep well,the surface hardened layer has a stable martensite strip structure, high tensile strength,It has the characteristics of high tensile strength, good wear resistance, high torsion strength and long service life.
It is a kind of manufacturability anti-corrosion sucker rod, the rod surface spraying a layer of special anti-corrosion materials, used in the medium corrosive well conditions, can prevent the corrosion of rod body and prevent the corrosive material from contacting with the rod body to prolong the life of the rod body.
Sucker rod Pump
Working Principle
1. Oil pumping: Similar to common oil well pumps, the fluid in well enters the pump through the bridge oil inlet valve (8) in the swabbing process and then will be discharged to the top of pump through long plunger (4).
2. Sand control: The sand enters the sand settling pipe 11 below the pump through the annular space between the sand settling outer cylinder 6 and pump barrel 3. And some sand deposited in the barrel will be brought outside of pump by oil flow due to the short pump barrel. If pumping is interrupted midway, the sand in the fluid in the tubing at top of pump will be also deposited in the sand settling pipe so as to avoid sand plug and sand burial.
3. Outstanding comprehensive mechanical performance :The long plunger is processed by integral spray welding.The inside surface of pump barrel is chrome plated. The valve seat material is hard alloy. So that enables high resistance of abrasion, corrosion and erosion.
