Tubes with LL fins are the same as L fins except that the fin feet overlap for added corrosion protection. Also called tubes with overlapping fins. The fins are spirally wound around the base tube, creating strong mechanical contact between the tube and the fins, thus increasing heat transfer efficiency. This type of finned tube is often used as a substitute for more expensive extruded fins in corrosive environments.
