ASTM A210 Grade C (ASME SA210 Grade C) is a medium-carbon seamless steel tube specifically designed for use in the manufacture of boiler tubes and boiler flues, including safety ends, furnace wall and support tubes, and superheater tubes.
ASME SA 210 Grade C specification covers several grades of minimum wall-thickness, seamless, carbon-molybdenum alloy-steel, boiler and heater tubes.
Grade C has good mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of 485 MPa and a yield strength of 275 MPa.These properties, along with a suitable chemical composition, make ASTM A210 Grade C tubes well-suited for use in high-temperature and high-pressure environments and capable of withstanding the pressures generated by boiler operation.
The chemical composition of ASTM A210 gr c Medium carbon steel pipe requires carbon content ≤0.35%, manganese content 0.29~1.06%, phosphorus content ≤0.035%, sulfur content ≤0.035%, and silicon content ≥0.10%. In terms of mechanical properties, tensile strength ≥ 485, yield strength ≥ 275, elongation ≥ 30, hardness ≤ 89 HRB.
The production method is hot rolling, and the delivery status is heat treatment. Product specifications range from 57mm to 762mm in outer diameter and 3.0mm to 130mm in wall thickness.
ASTM A210C pipe carbon steel seamless welding method
SA-210C carbon steel pipe is a medium carbon manganese steel with good cold and hot processing properties. Therefore, when selecting welding materials, welding materials with similar chemical composition and mechanical properties to the SA-210C pipe should be selected to ensure the quality and strength of the welded joint.
The welding process of SA-210CSeamless Pipe includes manual tungsten arc welding and manual arc welding. For butt welding, appropriate groove shape and size need to be selected to ensure the quality and strength of the welded joint. During the welding process, the welding temperature needs to be controlled to avoid blue brittleness. At the same time, heat treatment is required after welding to ensure the strength and toughness of the welded joint.
