3LPE coated line pipe and 3LPE coating process

1) Inbound racks and conveyors
Pipelines will be loaded by this unit. It consists of inbound racks and conveyor systems. All movements are driven by hydraulic system. The main frame adopts thick-walled rectangular structural steel pipe to ensure smooth transportation and meet the maximum heavy-duty requirements of heavy-duty pipelines. The retractable tube is automatically controlled by PLC.

2) Induction preheating
This unit is used to heat the pipe for better shot blasting performance. The induction unit is a medium frequency induction heater. The pipe surface is 50-60°C.

3) Shot blasting
The shot blasting device removes dust, oil and moisture from the surface of the pipeline. In this way, the coating will perform better and last longer.

4) Epoxy coating
Specially designed corona high-voltage electrostatic powder spray gun can meet high temperature requirements. The high-voltage electrostatic generator can provide 100kV (DC) power. This ensures high speed and high efficiency. Spray gun made in Japan. Modular design for easy maintenance. The spray booth is made of stainless steel and has a well-lit interior. Powder recovery using cyclones and filter cartridges. Cartridge material is polyester fiber and microporous aluminum foil composite material. This material can eliminate static electricity and can be cleaned with water.

5) Adhesive and PE coating
Adhesive will flow from the mold and coat the epoxy layer. Enhance the strength between PE layer and epoxy layer.

PE and adhesive layers will be laminated in-line.

6) Water cooling
After coating the adhesive and PE layer, the pipe will enter the cooling room to cool the coated pipe. Water is circulating.

The conveying system in the unit can be automatically tilted during the cooling step to empty the water inside. The action of the collecting and releasing tubes is also automatic.

7) Check platform
The pipeline is now ready for inspection. The platform is used for quality inspection and to divert good and bad pipes to different areas.
