Pipeline construction for oil transportation

Project Introduction 
 
This project was served for crude oil transportation from oil field to refinery for 27 km for 1st stage in Syria area. To extend the life cycle of pipeline, PE external coating in accordance with DIN30670 was applicated to reach a using life of 20 years at least. Except the pipe supply, USI team will continuously provide service after pipeline construction finished, like pipeline maintainance support.  
 
Project Difficulties 
 As per the API 5L standard X60M PSL2, Mn has a restriction not exceed 1.6%; However, the project design has a special requirements on property of Mn not exceeding 1.3%.  To solve this problem, USI technique team found a solution with steel maker that adjust the ore ratio and rolling parameter to customize the chemical composition as per project's requirements.  
 
Project achivements 
Through this project, USI team gained more experience and understand better that " Each project is unique and has its own specialty, a trustful supplier should be capable to respect this specialty and find solution towards to any problem that may occurs from this specialty."
