Alloy 201 has excellent resistance to many corrosive media from acids to bases and is resistant to corrosion. Alloy 201 offers good mechanical properties over a wide temperature range along with magnetic and magnetostrictive properties and useful thermal and electrical conductivity.
The main application fields of 201 alloy
Alloy 201 is commonly used in the food industry, but is also used in old vessels up to 600°C and sodium hydroxide evaporators up to 450°C. Alloy 201 is also commonly used in vessels for the production of flour, hydrochloric acid or vinyl chloride monomer.
